Alisa R. Barnes, O.D.
Dr. Barnes is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, completing bachelor degrees in biology and physiological optics. Dr. Barnes completed her Doctoral degree in Optometry at the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry (Class of 1990). Dr. Barnes completed residency training in ocular disease through the San Francisco Veteran's Administration, which included intensive training in the management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, post cataract surgery, post retinal surgery, post surgical contact lenses and vision rehabilitation.
Dr. Barnes was a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), completing vision screening trips to Mexico and the Philippines. |
Dr. Barnes is a past executive board member of the Los Angeles County Optometric Society, serving as director of education for 3 years.
Dr. Barnes enjoys knitting, crochet, embroidery, gardening, Star Trek, Star Wars and Marvel movies.
Dr. Barnes has been in private practice in Downtown Los Angeles since 1995.

Evelin Morales

Evelin Morales joined our team in 2020 after graduating from American Career College in Hollywood; earning her Optical Dispensing license. She is a young and determined optician with experience in pre-testing, lens & coatings knowledge.
Students and Volunteers
As you can probably tell, we are big fans of American Career College. We participate in their externship program, which helps train future opticians, optical dispenser's and contact lens fitters. We also welcome in our practice students who are applying to the various Optometry Schools around the country.
